Ben Tarr, Business Development Director

Ben began his career in England working for one of London’s fastest growing independent agencies. His time there saw him work on a number of global brands including Anheuser-Busch (Budweiser, Michelob, Rolling Rock), Sony Playstation & Pernod-Ricard (Stolichnya, Havana Club and Jameson Whisky). After 5 years he was looking for a new challenge and the love of the mountains brought him out west to Vancouver. Now in his 5th year at TAXI Ben handles the business development for both Vancouver and Calgary and oversees a number of key accounts including ConocoPhillips, University of Calgary and Dairy Farmers of Canada. He has worked across every discipline and has a passion for helping develop and implement brand initiatives which he has done for a number of western based clients.

As a strategic planner Jack’s got a natural inquisitiveness for human motivation. He has a unique ability to identify the connection between human and brand truths and inspire creative teams to bring those truths to life. Jack has in-depth experience with all imaginable kinds of information – including qualitative, quantitative and of course, intuition – to guide clients to fundamental strategic ideas and incorporate those ideas into every facet of the work. Although Jack is a Vancouverite, he has spent the past 13 years living in the US and has applied his strategic knowhow across a number of brand categories and for leading agencies. He has worked on a range of accounts including: Amtrak, The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Four Seasons, Choice Hotels, Blue Cross, Brown-Forman – Jack Daniels, Monster.com and Project Safe Neighborhood. Jack holds a Master’s degree from Boston University’s School of Communication, where he taught a graduate course in Brand Planning.
